This was Guy's first attempt at the senior British title and he clinched the crown with a maximum score of 100 points for five wins. (Best five scores from seven to count - Wales Rally GB was double points-scoring). Guy and team-mate Gwyndaf Evans also clinched the British Teams' Championship for Mitsubishi Motors UK.

Guy contested four rounds in a privately-funded 2004 spec Suzuki Ignis to keep match-fit for his JWRC title challenge. His results helped Suzuki GB clinch the British Teams' Championship.

Guy was entrusted with Suzuki's four-wheel debut on British soil and clinched the British Super 1600 title and British Junior title driving a Suzuki Ignis for Dealer Team Suzuki GB. His giant-killing performances against world rally cars also saw him finish fifth in the BRC overall standings.

Guy and co-driver Roger Herron contested the 2002 British Rally Championship in a Ford Puma Super 1600 for the Ford Junior Team. They finished third in the 1600 category behind Justin Dale and Gwyndaf Evans and fifth in the BRC overall standings.
