50th anniversary party

GUY will be at The Rally Show at Chatsworth, Derbyshire, on Saturday as part of the British Rally Championship's 50th anniversary celebrations.

The reigning British champion will join an impressive line-up of 30 former BRC champions including Ari Vatanen (1976, 1980), Stig Blomqvist (1983), Jimmy McRae (1981, 1982, 1984, 1987, 1988) and David Llewellin (1989, 1990).

Guest of honour will be co-driver Stuart Turner, who won the inaugural British title in 1958 alongside Ron Gouldbourn in a Triumph TR3A.

A photo-call of all the BRC champions will take place on the main stage at 11.30am.

The two-day Rally Show will also feature demonstrations by double world champion Marcus Gronholm in a 2008-spec Ford Focus WRC, stunt driver Terry Grant, the McRae Enduro and more than 600 car clubs!

Guy said: "It's going to be fantastic to catch up with some of my boyhood heroes and spend some time relaxing with the fans. I'm bringing my helmet just in case there's a chance of a ride!"
