Perez backs Guy for WRC
BUSINESSMAN and rally driver Steve Perez has made the first public contribution to the Wilks 500 Club.
Guy launched his WRC investment scheme in front of huge crowds at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on Sunday - on a live TV link.
And Vodka Kick boss Steve was delighted to back the British champion's bid to secure a seat with the Subaru World Rally Team in 2009.
Steve said: "Guy is a tremendous talent. It's a real shame he hasn't had the opportunity to spend more time in WRC cars. He is the right age now, he's got the right experience. I think he will be a good bet. He will go out there, mark his mark and more sponsors will follow.
"This is a great opportunity for people to get involved with Guy. There are so many rally fans out there, we go out and see thousands and thousands of spectators on rallies, and if all of those just contributed a little bit it is going to make the sport so much better for all of us. Best of luck, Guy."
Steve will promote Kick Energy drinks on Guy's 'Back the Brit' Union flag montage on guywilks.com
Guy said: "We had a fantastic response to the Wilks 500 Club at Goodwood and I'm really chuffed that Steve Perez has made the first public contribution and Kicked things off!
"Steve is a great ambassador for rallying and puts a lot back into the sport, so it is great to have him on board. Thank you to Steve and everyone who has pledged their support.
"We need everyone involved in rallying - motor clubs, businesses, even rally fans clubbing together - to get behind Phil (Pugh) and I."
